A few weeks ago I came across a file with treasured letters that I kept. One from a niece, written in her first year at school, telling me how much she enjoyed my visit. Her handwriting a bit uncertain, some letters big, others a bit crooked! Letters from two nephews. They are brothers and they have the exact same handwriting. I was living in Thailand then which was a great novelty to them. Both were sharing about their school and their sport activiti

Three more days to go and everyone is running around to bring closure and to finish well. I have been resting most of the last two days as the flu bug that is going around the last 3 weeks finally found out I am here too. The most amazing thing is that there is a different picture painted every day, and I am a bit embarrased to say that I must have taken about 12 photo's out of the same window in the seven days I am here. A few days ago the sun was behind a darkish cloud and there were those silver beams going into sea - I stood there for quite a lo

I was so looking forward to my trip to Thailand - it was quite a few years since my last visit. Going through security at Heathrow was a nightmare. It took me just as long to go through the security line as what it took to travel to Heathrow. My preference is an aisle seat - I can come and go as I wish and not disturb anyone. Next to me was a very nice couple, but unfortunately he was a bit on the large size, and I think in all the effort to get ready for his holiday he forgot to put some nice smelly stuff
