How do I get there from the airport?

You can catch the Monbus from terminal two, which runs every hour and goes directly to Vilanova station, or you can go with the Rail, (Renfe) to El Prat De Llobregat station (the next station after the airport) trains go every half an hour. From El Prat station you will be able to catch a direct train which will go to Vilanova I La Geltru station. These trains run regularly during the day.

Once at the station you will be able to get the L1 bus which will take you directly to the camping si

Christmas-----what is it all about?

So Christmas is over and the celebrations have stopped, people the world over, have stuffed themselves full of their Turkey or whatever it is they have at Christmas time and copious quantities of alcohol consumed.  Expensive gifts have changed hands, sometimes appreciated, sometimes not.  Families have come together and had a good time and others have had arguments.

Kevin Pieterson/cricket and an Aussie surprise

So now the English are finding out what I have always said about KP.  He is an arrogant but talented cricketer who cries when things don't go his way.  He tried to hold the England cricketing fraternity to ransom by giving them an ultimatum, either the coach goes or he goes and his bluff was called.

The year, when everything seemed to fall apart. Fuel, food, finance and house prices - they all went wrong, and the consequences will continue to affect the world for some time to come.

Racism in the South African context

Having spent a few weeks recenty in Onrus, near Hermanus, I was really surprised to see how this one has reared it's ugly head again.  What was very noticeable that there were a lot of new people that had moved into the area, the majority appeared to be from Johannesburg/Pretoria which made watching the Super 14 rugby quite interesting.

Crime and perceptive negativity

Is it that there is a desire amongst certain groups of South Africans who do not want this Government to succeed?

I have to agree with the artcle re the perceptions of crime perhaps being worse than the reality.  On my recent trip to the country, crime was not the top of agenda when it came to dicussions in pubs etc.  In fact, we spent much more time discussing the performances of the recpective super 12 rugby teams, and how SA would fare in the cricket world cup and the terrible state of affairs in Zimbabwe.

Hermanus/Onrus

Well, we arrived in Onrus which was our first point of call, unpacked and went straight to Hermanus for lunch.  This is an area that has grown out of all proportion, with developments sprouting up everywhere.

Cape Town International airport and arriving in Cape Town

What a pleasant surprise it was to arrive at the airport this time.  Previously, we (myself and my UK friend Simon) have had to wait for a bus to transport us to the main terminal building, and then most of the immigration control booths were unmanned, meaning an interminable wait, in particular for non-South Africans.
