This statement would certainly have chameleon Michael Jackson in a quandry if he were to sing his well known song, Black and White
If the latest court ruling is anything to go on then the future strengthening of China's grip on Southern Africa will have been further enhanced by the fact that the Chinese are now entitled to BEE, EE and UFO status.
If the Chinese were officially seen as 'coloured' during the *Apartheid Years', why has it taken some 14 years to come to this ruling? Is this the Year of the Rat? I am sure we have had that already according to the Chinese calendar.
Does this mean that if Chinese were to take up residency in South Africa now, that they would be entitled to BEE status and will the Government be issuing further statements so as to make up for past indiscretions of the current Government that they now need to further subsidise Chinese business and roll out the red carpet, excuse the pun, it was intentional?
Saying that SASOL are the first to roll out the carpet to allow the Chinese to buy in by saying those that qualify will "immediately be able participate in the Sasol Inzalo BEE transaction". Who determines who are legitimate is another question?
I must truthfully be careful with my murmurings regarding the Chinese or else I may be seen as a fool with a problem however surely BEE and all the various acronyms should be in the process of being phased out of the NEW South Africa, one can only wonder for how long the word NEW can be used before we begin to realise it is the same old crap disguised under a different canvas colour.
What seems to make things seem more bizarre is that the Chinese person would have chosen to live in South Africa under the old laws if they were classified as 'coloured', in truth I had no idea the Chinese were classified in that group
This is all pretty worrying if you believe there is the imperialism of Africa taking place by the Chinese and especially when considering that China props up Mugabe's regime and is well entrenched throughout Africa from Dafar to Harare and now unmistakingly is Pretoria soon to be renamed Preking?
And all we can hope is that none of what has been written here will be proven to be in anyway real
