Why I love Jozi

Just sharing a few ingredients of my vitamin C booster remedy....

Below is a picture of Delta Park*, it takes 3 minutes for me to walk there. Its a grey day, so it may look glum in the photo but it is absolutely amazing simply because of the space. The Park is huge and on the horizon to the left is the JSE, then Sandton (Michael Angelo Tower), off centre right would be Rosebank, you have to take my word for it because my camera is not powerful enough (will add to wish list as birthday prezzie ;-)) and out of the picture also on the right is the Ponte tower, the radio tower and some of the other features of the Jozi skyline - which is changing so fast.

So when I walk, I have the view of all of that, plus Blarigowrie, Craighall, Parkhurst and Victory Park in the forefront. There is a bird sanctuary and also there is a river that runs at the bottom of the park and ends in a small waterfall.

So yes my dears, it is more than just a walk, it is also a wonderful space to just BREATHE and certainly a place of inspiration, it is a place where I sometimes walk in, with a heart...so, so heavy and yet always leave enlightened and inspired, or where I walk out with any worries answered and the gift of love to take away with me. It is also somewhere where I sit and write, or sit and do nothing, or where I cry or where I laugh. I go when I feel the need and have now decided to challenge myself by making a stand to go twice a week for at least 30 minutes... I usually go there when the whim takes me and spend at least two hours on average, but there could be twomonths between each visit.

In the mornings it is so beautiful because the skyline has different tones due to the rising mist, the spiders' webs twinkle with millions of jewels as the sunlight begins to pierce the mist and hits the dew that has gathered on each thread. The tall grasses sprout the most beautiful flowers and its so funny to watch my dogs as they bounce like rabbits through the grass or gallop along the pathways, chasing the hadida's which are so much bigger than they are since they are Jack Russels.

So I wish to share with you today a few reasons why I love Jozi - and I most certainly am going to stop and smell the roses (or anything else available in this season) over the next couple of weeks and give myself the gift of  a few more precious moments of reasons to be joyful, thankful and grateful for such a special gift.... and of course reasons to love Jozi

Have a fantabulous day and see you soon.

* I don't know how to add the picture, so you will have to imagine a grey leaden sky on the horizon, with rolling fields of green in front of you, glistening with dew and the rising mist.
