National Dishes Around the World - Jangar - 12-05-2007 So as not to hi-jack another thread I've decided to post this list here: Australia- Meat pie, hamburger with beetroot, fish and chips, Vegemite on toast, Pavlova Austria - Sachertorte, wiener schnitzel (Vienna), apfelstrudel Barbados - Cou-Cou and Flying fish Belgium - pommes frites, moules bruxellois (Brussels) Cambodia - ahmok, fried spider :yikes: Canada - maple syrup, Kraft Dinner, Timbits. Chile - sea bass, palta (avocado), jaivas (food) China - The staple diets in Northern China are: mantou, bing (Chinese flatbread) and wheat noodles; as for the South: rice, rice noodles and rice congee.
