How long is Passport renewal process?

I hope they are not too strict on this rule:

Heck, it has been 15 years since my divorce. I have no idea where those papers are, probably recycled into someones newspaper!

Has anyone got any contact details for the British Nationality Division in Liverpool? It has been a few weeks since I sent them a letter (actually 2 letters to 2 different addresses), and I haven't heard anything yet.

I submitted my application by post about a month ago. I had nothing back to say there is something missing, so I assume it went through. Now I just have to play the waiting game.

I took a chance and emailed the High Commission in London, using the emergency email address listed on there I've just received the following reply:

Code:
Please be informed that your passport application has been sent to our HQ for 
issuance and we will receive your new passport on or before Aug. 21, 2008.
We will inform you as soon as we have received it.
