How many Pink Floyd fans do we have here? I'm busy having a Floyd evening. There is something about their music that hits one deep within the soul. What is your favourite song or album?

Before you all think the worst ................... IT IS NOT FOR ME!!!!!!!!!

A friend in SA is preggies and expecting a boy in March. (sister in law is also preggies - due the same time) so this is a question on thier behalf really.

Friend is English - Hubbie is Afrikaans - (very) and they are having trouble with names.

He wants Verwoed Nelson
She wants Kayne - nice spelling too!!

Now they want suggestions for some other names besides the normal - popular names - they are looking for the unusual I think.

Any suggestions peeps?? I have been to ask Jeeves and he gave me some nice ones but I wondered what other names there are to choose from.
I know there is another thread on names but they seem to be mainly female and I am looking for male.

My brother and his wife are naming thier baby Connor which is a lovely name.

I am also interested in the meaning of the names suggested.

Many thanks

XXXX

Mine was Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers,
My sister - Somebody by Depeche Mode
My brother - Independant Love Song by Scarlet

We have a 3 legged, vegetarian cat at home and he has a few problems that I am hoping someone here can provide some insight to.

The first, and most worrying problem, is that he suffers from a weepy eye. The fluid produced is reddish, leading us to believe it is blood. The vet was uncertain what it was and gave us a cream to apply to the eye, which hasn't helped.

The second problem is that he has very recurved claws. He certainly spends enough time sharpening his claws, but they hook on everything. He cannot even jump off a couch or bed without the claws hooking on something.

The third problem is his bad breath - the vet said he had a slight plaque build up on his teeth, and a minor gum infection, but provided nothing to treat it.

Any ideas and/or suggestions?

I want to have a few hostas in my new blank canvas. But the last time I introduced hostas in to a garden the were subject to a Hosta-ile takeover by them damned slugs.

I prefer to garden organically if I can, but none of the old wives tales of beer, or egg shells etc. seem to work. Anyone got a foolproof method for dealing with the slimey critters?

Thanks in advance
DaPom
