Zimbabwe the new investment opportunity?

With Mugabe likely to be ousted at the next general elections, and a probable upturn in the fortunes of this much maligned country. it has to be a huge possible investment opportunity where property could be a good bet.

In the long term, as stability slowly returns, these properties must increase in value.

Mugabe has to go first, however..

Mugabe likely to be ousted at the next election? Bob certainly will not lose his job in the coming election and anyone who thinks otherwise is in for a big suprise. The only time that Bobodan will voluntarily leave office is after the 2008 elections when - if all goes according to Zanu(pf) plan he will hand over to Joyce Majuru - who used to go by the lovely name of Teurai Ropa Nhongo AKA Spill More Blood Nhongo - who has been nominated to run the dump until Bobs son is old enough to take power.

Mark my words Bob will not lose power in this election.

Thumbs up

pics, this is sad indeed and it will probably underline your dislike for Africa's inability to govern itself.

However, ... IF and only IF there is a change

are you available ... maybe a nice house boat for tourists on Kariba

ps. you could have said this thread deserved to be in the joke zone

Ducky I did have to check the calender when I read it as I thought it was an April fools joke! Now if Bob were to go Kariba would be a great place to settle! Sadly Bob isnt going anywhere fast so that houseboat will just ahve to remain a toy boat in my bath!

Seriously though, yes this does just underline my belief that Africa cannot rule itself and that majority rule was the greatest travesty ever.

Well, preliminary results from the rural areas would indicate that he is on the way out, however the cities will make the difference and no doubt if he gets in again there will be a roadshow for the ZANU thugs into the areas that support the MDC

Spam right now they have only had the results in from the cities and the MDC has kepts its hold on Harare and Bulawayo - although you may well be privy to a source I havent seen. Sadly it is the rural areas - especially in Mashonaland - where Mugabe has his support base. In any case even if he lost according to votes he still has his thirty hand picked MP's who would ensure that he keeps his majority anyway.
