How Much Money?

Can anyone tell me how much a person is allowed to take out of S.A in travellers cheques if going on holiday to the UK?

I am not sure what the limit is now, but you can take it out of the country in whatever form you like ... cash or travellers cheques. If I remember correctly, you may only have 80% of your holiday allowance on your credit card.
I remember doing a search for simlar information on the Internet recently, and struggling to find it ... perhaps someone actually resident in SA will be able to find the info for us as to what one is allowed for holiday purposes? (I remember, 10 years ago it was R30 000 per person... it must have changed by now...)

The annual travel allowance, which covers both holiday and business travel, has been increased to R160 000 per calendar year for children over the age of 12, and to R50 000 per calendar year for children under the age of 12.
