Fairies

Venus Wrote:I collect all kinds of things to do with fairies. I have pictures, suncatchers, windchimes, crystals, books & figurines. My lounge is full of fairy goodies! I'm very fortunate that there is a specialist fairy shop quite close to me. Sadly, most of their stock is very expensive but going in there is like walking into a magical world. Smile

I can vouch for that...

Both Smile and Sad

Smile at her collection

and Sad at the prices at the specialst shop

But visiting the shop is an experience and a half...

southeaster Wrote::wings: we have loads of fairies and fairy stories here in the isle of man. we have a bridge here that folklore says when you go over the bridge you need to greet the fairies or bad luck befalls you.

You can also get fairy bridge tea here and fairies in bottles. If you stop at the fairy bridge you can leave notes on the trees overhaning the bridge. ( and there are loads of notes pegged to the trees).

Quite quaint really.

Fairies in a botlle !!!! That sounds cruel....

I've seen some & they are so cute! You get these fairies with shocked expressions on their faces, still doing whatever they were doing before being captured. :haha:

Hi Southeaster.....

This sounds a little bit like my childhood. The neighbours had quite a big garden, with huge rocks and all around the rocks were moss growing. My friend and I believed that the fairies lived there. It was our favourite place during the holidays - sitting there and talking about the fairies and even leaving notes for them.

Whenever I see green moss growing I think of my childhood fairies.... and the snowdrops that are out now, are possibly their flowers Smile
