SEVENonT for Green Point

SevenOnT

SEVENonT in Green Point is ready to launch, situated in Thornhill Road in Green Point and will have 22 units. Hot on the heels of their first development launch in September, SEVENonT is the 2nd project being launched by Blok, the brainchild of Jacques and Marco van Embden of the Prime Residential Group.

SevenonT – Thornhill Road, Green Point

FOURonC, the first Blok development, launched officially on 4th September with an elegant cocktail party in town, and just over one month later, SEVENonT in Green Point is ready to launch. The project is set to break ground in late October 2014 with occupancy estimated at around December 2015. At the time of the launch event on 18th October, the development is already at 50% of the 22 units sold, a trend that Blok started when launching FOURonC with 35% of the development sold.

This is testament to the strength of the Blok community, something that is of paramount importance to the Blok team. “The way of life that we promote; that of community benefits, innovation and constantly striving for improvement, has resonated strongly with our end consumer since we launched Blok,” says Jacques. “Online sign-ups to the newsletter and new developments have resulted in an extremely high conversion rate, and as such means that buildings are being launched with 50%+ sold.”

The SEVENonT site is situated in Thornhill Road in Green Point and will have 22 units, all of which get at least one secure off-street parking (half the building gets 2), and the apartments range in size from 1 beds of 54 square metres, to 3 beds of 209 square metres.

Some of the units will have real wooden fireplaces whilst the rest will have state-of-the-art bio-ethanol fireplaces. Due to the building’s U-shaped design, SEVENonT will feature a sprawling green lung in the atrium space that will extend from the ground floor right to the top adding greenery and life to the internal courtyard space of the building. Planter boxes will be a standard feature for most of the units’ balconies; disproving the fact that urban living means minimizing one’s green space. There are also plans underway to invest into the adjacent park to uplift it and make it a significant neighbourhood highlight, this in conjunction with the City’s Dept. of Parks and Recreation, a collaboration that Blok as a brand is extremely optimistic about.

Other major highlights in the immediate vicinity are the stadium, the beautifully designed Green Point Urban Park that is a haven for runners, cyclists, kids, dogs and anyone that enjoys being outdoors, plus some of the best restaurants, bars and delis that Cape Town is known for including Mano’s, El Burro, Giovanni’s and more.

Building even more on the thoughtful ethos that Blok stands for, SEVENonT is designed to maximise not only the internal space, but also the views, and even the amount of exterior space available by adding “clip-on” balconies to all exterior units to create that inside-outside living space flow. The adjacent park for kids and parents speaks to the urban way of living that Blok is such a proud protagonist of; the fact that apartment dwelling is accessible for all stages of life and children or pets need not be a deterrent, the building’s proximity to Reddam (the school is a 2 minute walk away) is also a major bonus.

Why take a Sunday drive when one can step outside and take a Sunday walk? It’s all about enjoying and getting involved with the community right outside your front door.
